Welcome! I’m the director of the Bioinformatics and Data Science (BiDS) Lab. I’m an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.

I hold a PhD in Computer and Information Science and Engineering and a BS in Civil Engineering.

Our lab focuses on interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of gene expression analysis, machine learning for healthcare, and behavioral data science.

I'm a member of the non-human animal rights and welfare community and animal advocate.
